Between colour and flesh, the body becomes a signature.

Born in Romania in 1997, Cristina Vitan lives in Milan. She studied design and painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, and her work has been exhibited in Milan, Paris and London.

Her practice centres on hedonism: the pursuit of pleasure in all things, including art. Each painting emerges as an act of love and pleasure between the artist and the canvas, offering a window into her character, passions and imagination.

For Cristina, painting begins with an inarticulate desire for something beyond everyday life. In the innate connection between colour and flesh, the breast becomes her autograph: a symbol of the female body and its expressive power.

The celebration of the female body through pleasure, and the position of women in society, are central themes in her work. Her art celebrates freedom of expression in all its forms and the beauty of the body, evoking emotion in the viewer.
